NEW BR2 GHTON PARK BOAl2.D
M= NUTES
DECEMBER 7 ~ 1.9 S 8
I. The meeting was called to order at 7:30pm by acting Chairman,
Van Hatten.
II. Members present: Carlson, Eichers, Kalina, Ocel, Rose, Van
_. Hatten, Council Rep. Brandt
Absent: Johnson, Olson, Seward
III. Minutes of the October 5, "1988 meeting were approved as
submitted.
IV. Correspondence
A. Council Report
Brandt stated the City Manager has resigned. A search firm
has been hired by the Council. The process should take
about 90 days. The acting City Manager will be the current
Assistant City Manager, Samantha Urduno.
Rose asked how long Mr. Sinda has been with the city.
Brandt said 5 years.
Brandt said that. last year one of the residents was upset
about street sweeping and the salt on the street. He lives
- on Long Lake. The Council took a survey and found. that
there are numerous options to improving the street sweeping
system but some would include much overtime causing more
expense. An option that will be tried this .spring is to do
the sweeping in two phases. The first would be to sweep the.
middle of the street. The second phase would then be to
came back at a later date and sweep the gutters. This plan
would allow them to start about two weeks earlier than
normal.
B. Long Lake Advisory Committee
No meeting was held.
Eichers asked about the status of the .boat launch.
Anderson said it has been started but the bulk of the work
will be done in the spring.
Carlson said the ramp had to be moved east about 50 ft.
because of the depth of the water.
