August 3, 1988 Park Board Minutes
4
Anderson yes, but some are calling the office and expressing they
are in favor of the trail.
Anderson said this will be brought back for the September meeting.
Olson said if we are waiting for the church trustees approval they
will not have met yet.
Anderson said we can bring the item to the September meeting as we
are presenting it to the church trustees even though they have not
approved it yet.
Johnson said that the trail could be filled this year and
blacktopped next year.
Anderson said that in any case, the Park Board and City Council
approvals should be in place this year.
Anderson said he appreciates the Park Board's comments.
Johnson asked if there will be another resident meeting.
Anderson said yes, we could make it at the next Park Board meeting
and have it at City Hall.
Seward asked what the distance of the trail at Long Lake Park is
f rom start to finish .
Anderson said about three miles.
Seward suggested having mile markers put up for runners.
Anderson said that would be up to Ramey County.
Johnson said it would be nice to have a water color drawing of the
trail done up, something that's really nice, so the residents
could see what the trail will look like.
Rose asked when the trail around Rush Lake would be in.
Anderson said nothing will happen until the east side is
developed. The County has more to handle now in the next two to
three years than they can handle. It will probably be the last
thing to happen.
B. Cadillac Dinner
Seward stated there is a Cadillac Dinner on Oct. 7th at the North
Oaks Country Club. Tickets are $125 for two and all proceeds go
back to the City. The money is tax deductible.
VII. Announcements
A. August 23, 24 MRPA IPD
