August 3, 1988 Park Board Minutes <br />4 <br />Anderson yes, but some are calling the office and expressing they <br />are in favor of the trail. <br />Anderson said this will be brought back for the September meeting. <br />Olson said if we are waiting for the church trustees approval they <br />will not have met yet. <br />Anderson said we can bring the item to the September meeting as we <br />are presenting it to the church trustees even though they have not <br />approved it yet. <br />Johnson said that the trail could be filled this year and <br />blacktopped next year. <br />Anderson said that in any case, the Park Board and City Council <br />approvals should be in place this year. <br />Anderson said he appreciates the Park Board's comments. <br />Johnson asked if there will be another resident meeting. <br />Anderson said yes, we could make it at the next Park Board meeting <br />and have it at City Hall. <br />Seward asked what the distance of the trail at Long Lake Park is <br />f rom start to finish . <br />Anderson said about three miles. <br />Seward suggested having mile markers put up for runners. <br />Anderson said that would be up to Ramey County. <br />Johnson said it would be nice to have a water color drawing of the <br />trail done up, something that's really nice, so the residents <br />could see what the trail will look like. <br />Rose asked when the trail around Rush Lake would be in. <br />Anderson said nothing will happen until the east side is <br />developed. The County has more to handle now in the next two to <br />three years than they can handle. It will probably be the last <br />thing to happen. <br />B. Cadillac Dinner <br />Seward stated there is a Cadillac Dinner on Oct. 7th at the North <br />Oaks Country Club. Tickets are $125 for two and all proceeds go <br />back to the City.
