June 1, 1988 Park Board Minutes <br />7 <br />Johnson asked if 1993 is a year to repair parking lots. <br />Anderson said yes, that is what his staff brought up the <br />their meeting. It may need to be done before 1993. <br />Anderson said we try to do it on a rotating basis. <br />Anderson said maybe we should put in about $20,000 for seal <br />coating and do it all at once. <br />Olson asked if any additional play equipment was needed. <br />Johnson asked about play equipment at Innsbruck. <br />Anderson said he plans to put it in in two increments. <br />$75,000 in 1989 and $75,000 in 1990. <br />Johnson said another thing that could be done is to have <br />another 2-5 acre park at Pike Lake. <br />Anderson said that's not a bad idea. <br />Johnson said we don't have to do it but we can plan for it. <br />Olson-asked if our ball fields were adequate and if Vets <br />would be back in use. <br />Anderson said yes, Vets would be back and a better field. <br />Rarely turn away resident teams. Our fields are adequate. <br />now. We are taking care of residents. <br />Olson asked if there were any plans for Creekview. <br />Anderson said we could put in a picnic area and maybe a <br />trail. <br />Johnson asked if any more trails need evening lighting. <br />Anderson said Hansen is lighted and could also light it at <br />the south end but have not had any request for it. <br />Anderson said if he were to do any lighting it would be at <br />the south end of Hansen - it's extensively used. <br />Johnson said the playground equipment should be continued to <br />be replaced as needed.. <br />Eichers said that Totem Pole is showing signs of wear. <br />Johnson said if anything happens with the community center <br />this budget planning will be a whole new ball game. <br />
