May 4, 1988 Park Board Minutes
Anderson said Phyllis Hanson did a good job on this
project.
Anderson said the Park Board did a good job of setting
the stage for Harstad and that's why they come up with
this plan.
-~'~
Eichers said it looks like Sand Castle Park in Roseville.
Anderson said he is pleased, the Park Board did a good
job.
Rose said we need to name the park now.
Johnson said it should probably be an Innsbruck name.
B. Long Lake Boat Launch and Operating Plan
Anderson said there were no residents at the council
meeting. We proved we could listen and we gave them most
of what they wanted.
We can do the same thing with this group from Pike Lake.
Brandt said let's address their concerns. and make it
better, especially with the birds.
Van Hatten said he would like to compliment Anderson on
the way he handled their questions.
Rose asked about the Rush Lake trail.
Anderson said he doesn't know when that will happen.
Still waiting for easements. It will happen, but maybe
not for 5 or 6 years.
Rose said that will be a good one when it's completed.
Anderson agreed.
Anderson said the trail into Long Lake Park is going in
now. The trail will stop at the old beach area. All the
trail should be in within the two weeks.
Rose asked if anyone is working on the Rush Lake Trail.
Anderson said it's not a high priority because they can't
do anything until the park is developed.
