NEW BRIGHTON PARK BOARD <br />MINUTES <br />FEBRUARY 10, 1988 <br />I. The meeting was called to order by chairman Johnson at 7:30 pm. <br />II. Members present: Carlson, Eichers, Johnson, Rose, Seward, Van <br />Hatten, Council Rep. Brandt. Also present: <br />Les Proper, City Engineer Brighton. Square <br />Resident, Patricia Kuentz, 1245 Brighton Sq., <br />Don Weissman of the North Metro Jr. Football <br />League, and other residents. <br />Members absent: Kalina, Ocel, Olson <br />III. Minutes of January 6, 1988 <br />MOTION BY VAN HATTEN, SECONDED BY ROSE, TO APPROVE THE JANUARY 6, <br />1988 MINUTES AS SUBMITTED. MOTION CARRIED. <br />IV. Correspondence <br />A. Council Report <br />Dana Brandt, the new Council Representative to the Park Board, <br />stated that most of the items from the February 9th council <br />meeting were deferred to the February 23rd meeting. The <br />council received the first draft of the community facilities <br />portion of the comprehensive plan from staff. Gunderman <br />wondered if the plan should take into account programs for <br />seniors because Edgewood may not always be available to them. <br />Anderson commented that the information was gathered about two <br />years ago so some of the information may be outdated. What was <br />done was extensive but it has been awhile since it went to the <br />Planning Commission. <br />B. Long Lake Advisory Committee <br />Johnson said the February meeting will be the 24th. <br />C. New Brighton Lions Club <br />Anderson said he has no formal correspondence from the Lion's <br />but they have indicated they want to donate about $20,000 <br />toward Veterans Park. <br />
