January 6, 1988 Park Board Minutes <br />Page 2 <br />Williams said the Ramsey County League had their <br />annual meeting and discussed formation of a Ramsey <br />County Park Board (all cities represented). The. <br />response was positive. <br />Eichers expressed his concern about not having .the <br />utility .lines buried in his neighborhood (County Rd. <br />D) but having to pay for other residents in the city <br />to have the privilege. <br />Williams said that at the next Council meeting they <br />will be assigned to different boards and commissions <br />as representatives. .Williams said he has enjoyed the <br />past 2 years with the Park Board as its council <br />representative. <br />Van Hatten asked if appointments to the boards and <br />commissions had .been made yet. <br />Anderson said he thought it would be at the next <br />January Council Meeting. <br />Williams said the Park Board will be receiving <br />invitations to an appreciation night for all the <br />Board and Commission members some time in February. <br />B. Long Lake Advisory Committee <br />No meeting was held. <br />V. New Business <br />A. Harstad Development Proposal <br />Anderson stated that information had been-sent out to the <br />Park Board .with the agenda regarding this proposal. The <br />City Council had reviewed this back in 1983. No action <br />was taken but the Council said they wanted. to leave <br />provision for open space. <br />Erny Mattila, New Brighton's City Planner and Ken Briggs, <br />Harstad Company Director of Development were present. <br />Mattila briefly explained the Harstad plans for 15 single <br />family lots to be developed south of 12th St. N.W. Would <br />like to work with the existing topography and vegetation <br />toward something that would benefit the community. Would <br />like to know. what the Park Board would like to see.. <br />
