Memo to Maury Anderson
March 30, 1988
Page 2
:Option 3
a'. Swap city park land for park land on south side. Again, `land
value needs to be determned.far.each area...'.
b. Fork dedication would be total cash.
..Option 4
a. Harstad Companies would purchase city park land.
h, Park dedication would be any coml-~inaton of .land on the youth
:.side of the development and/or cash.
5ummarv
Option l is the proposal Harstad Companies is submitting for city
approval. They are open for negotiating Options 3 and 4, if that
is the preferred direction of the city. pption 2 presents major
problems and concerns for the developer.
Harstad Companies would rather seek Options 1, 3 ar 4, or a:
combination.
As we discussed, it seems the "active" elements of a neighborhood'
park.(i.e. playfield, tennis courts, parking, etc.) are being
met-and. will be met for this development at Hidden Oaks. Park and:
Freedom Park. Therefore, the uniqueness of the topography and
vegetation on the southside of this site .could serve-` the
trail/picnicking demands of the area.
Lf-you have and further comments, please feel free to contact me
at 533-5435 or 559-0561.
