Commissioner Kaufhold recommended that staff ensure that removal of this section be <br /> reviewed with the city attorney again to ensure this is in the city's best interests. <br /> However, all agreed to have the language amended and brought forward to the <br /> Commission for review and approval at a future meeting. <br /> Officer Kuchinka Resignation: <br /> Commissioners were advised that Officer Kuchinka had resigned effective March 26, <br /> 2005. Officer Kuchinka was offered, and accepted, a position with the St. Paul Police <br /> Department. Commissioner Kaufhold questioned whether or ,t sources of revenue <br /> from grants would be reduced or eliminated and whether it was e to hire an officer at <br /> this time. Staff noted that there are no grants at this time that hel• splement police <br /> officers salary. However, funds are received from the Mounds V.- I ool District for <br /> school resource officers.
