TCAAP (New Brighton) <br /> The federal government is declaring a portion of the Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant <br /> (TCAAP) as surplus land. The vast majority of the property is located in Arden Hills, but a <br /> small portion extends into New Brighton. This property consists of a spur rail line and adjacent <br /> right-of-way along it. Prospective users with a specific public purpose will be able to acquire the <br /> land for no cost. (Ramsey County intends to incorporate the steeply sloped area along the north <br /> side of Rush Lake into its Long Lake Regional Park.) Properties to be used for commercial or <br /> industrial purposes will be required to purchase the land at market values. <br /> The City is currently looking at maintaining the rail corridor. It would prov: . o 1 for <br /> alternative transit, with a possibility of a rail station.
