APPROVED
current bank site. One of the office users that had been interested in the site is no longer
interested; they are going to St. Anthony. There is still another office user who is interested in
15,000 square feet, but Kraus-Anderson is not sure if they would do a stand-alone building or a
second floor over the retail buildings. There is continued interest by CVS and Walgreen's in
participating in the development.
Delaune inquired if anyone had noticed the state of the Sinclair station. He noted that there is
high grass and weeds, and he wondered if it looked like that because they were planning to sell
Kraus-Anderson. Fernelius replied that the City would look at the property and if they were in
violations of any City codes, they would receive notice. He also reported that Kraus-Anderson
approached Sinclair about a ground lease; their offer received a lukewarm response.
It appears that Kraus-Anderson will be coming back to the Council with a modified site plan.
Fernelius asked if they would consider realigning the road; they are considering it,but they are
not very enthusiastic about it. He reminded them that there is a tax increment district to assist in
paying for the road to be moved.
Other Business
The November 8th meeting will need to be rescheduled because it is on an election day. Black
will let everyone know the new date later. Harreld announced that the Town Hall meeting will
be held on October 8th. Fulton indicated that Northwest Quadrant would be the major topic and
flyers would be given to the block captains. Fulton also reported that September 13 is the final
day to apply to run for Council.
Kaufhold stated that he had concerns about the environmental cleanup because he did not realize
that the City had been given access for testing. He feels much better about the cleanup of the
site, now that he knows the City realizes what contaminates they are cleaning up.
Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 8:25 a.m.
