Family Service Center. Benke suggested that the FSC is a good deal and there probably
wouldn't be much competition. Harreld inquired if staff had any idea of the retail that would be
going onto the site. Black stated that there are no specific names, but K-A indicated that they
would expect to see a coffee shop or small food vendors. Delaune asked when construction
would begin. Black stated that construction could possibly begin this February or March, since
there would not be much to approve except for a site plan.
Marv's Transmission Site
Black reported that staff will be going before Council for a term sheet approval for a longer
advertising period for the site. Staff will also propose a tax increment financing district, in order
for the City to be able to recoup a portion of its costs. The City will know by March 1st if the
developer will be continuing with the development.
Witkowski asked if there is any interest to developing Harry's. Black stated that staff has met
with the truck rental company located behind the site, which is interested in purchasing the
location for parking. Staff has asked the company to wait until Council has the opportunity to
review the Old Highway 8 corridor plan and determine if this use is appropriate.
Chamber of Commerce Report
Nustad announced that the Chamber would be hosting its yearly holiday luncheon, which will
benefit the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf and SACA. The luncheon will be held on December 21 at
11:30, at the FSC, and the cost is $15.00. There is always a good turnout, so he recommended
making a reservation.
Other Business
Nelson announced that Delaune, Harmon and Stang terms on the Commission would be up at the
end of the January. Stang and Delaune both announced that they would be remaining on the
Commission.
Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 8:25 a.m.
