No refunds shall be made on unused portions of <br /> <br />license except by resolut.ion of the council. Each peo.dler, solicitor, <br /> <br />transient merchant or handbill distributor shall secure a separate license. <br /> <br />Section 7. License to be Carried. All licenses shall be <br /> <br />carried by the licensee or conspicuously posted in his place of business <br /> <br />and the license shall be exhibited to any officer or citizen upon his <br /> <br />request. <br /> <br />Section 8. Practices Prohioited. No peddler, solicitor, <br /> <br />transient merchant or handbill distributor shall call attention to his <br /> <br />business or to his mercnandise, by crying out, by blowing a horn, by <br /> <br />ringing a bell or by any loud or unusual noise. <br /> <br />Section 9. Exemptions. This ordinance does not apply to any <br /> <br />sale under court crder. <br /> <br />Section 10. Eevocation. Any license may be revoked b;)T the <br /> <br />council for a violation of any provision of this ordinance if the <br /> <br />licensee has been given a reasonable notice and an opportunity to be <br /> <br />heard. <br /> <br />Section 11. Penalty. An;y person who violates any provision <br /> <br />of this ordinance, upon conviction tnereof, shall be punished by a fine <br /> <br />not exceeding $100.00 or by imprisonment in the county jailor count;y <br /> <br />workhouse for a period not exceeding 90 days. <br /> <br />Section 12. Effective date.
