<br />'" <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />License required. <br /> <br />No peddler, 501ici tor, -cranSlen"D <br />, ,\ <br /> <br />merchant or handbill distributor shall sell or offer for-sale any go~ds, <br /> <br />wares, or t:lerchandise within the village unless a license therefor shall <br /> <br />first be secured as provided in this ordinance. <br /> <br />This ordinance doest not require a license for newspaper <br /> <br />distribution. <br /> <br />Section 3. Application and Issuance. Application for such <br /> <br />license shall be made to the village clerk on a form supplied by the <br /> <br />village. The application shall state (1) the names and address of the <br /> <br />applicant and of all persons associated with him in his business; (2) the <br /> <br />type of business for which the license is desired; (3) in case of transient <br /> <br />merchants, the place where the business is to be carried on; (4) the <br /> <br />length of time for which the license is desired; (5) a general description <br /> <br />of tIle thing or things to be sold; (6) the places of residence of the <br /> <br />applicant Eorthe five years next preceding the date of the application. <br /> <br />!Ever;)" application shall bear the written approval of the village clerk <br /> <br />after an investigation of the moral character of' the applicant.
