Motion by Baker, Second by Howard to CLOSE THE PUBLIC HEARING. <br /> 6 Ayes, 0 Nays, MOTION CARRIED. <br /> Motion by Schiferl, Second by O'Keefe to WAIVE THE READING AND ADOPT <br /> THE ATTACHED RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF SP04-15 <br /> OF THE SPECIAL USE PERMIT, subject to the following conditions: <br /> 1. The plan shall constitute the permitted signs for that area. Any future change <br /> to the plan shall be submitted under special use permit procedure and when <br /> adopted shall become part of that plan. <br /> 2. City staff review of all Main Street Village signs for consistency with the <br /> Main Street Village Sign Plan is required prior to the issuance of any <br /> permanent sign permits. Staff will review the proposed signs for consistency <br /> of the size, location, style, colors and general character of the proposed sign. <br /> 3. Except for specific requirements and standards listed in the Main Street <br /> Village Sign plan the regulations found in Section 9-040 General Provisions <br /> Applicable to All Districts, apply to the Main Street Village. <br /> 4. Clarification of the definition of"window lights". <br /> 6 Ayes, 0 Nays, MOTION CARRIED. <br /> General Business: <br /> Concept Review—Planned Unit Development concept for 1190 Long Lake Road— <br /> Christian Science Church healthcare facility. Discussion to review care facility <br /> development—BKV Group Architects—Ted Redmond. <br /> Several representatives from BKV Architects, the Christian Science Church and their <br /> consultants were present for an informal presentation. Ted Redmond of BKV presented <br /> information describing the proposed project, a licensed nursing facility, having two floors <br /> with 6 resident rooms, nursing station(s), kitchen/laundry area, internal garden space, <br /> with the upper level having rooms for family members to stay, offices, lobby, activity <br /> space and garage/mechanical area. Another representative of BKV described the outside <br /> concept of the plan. <br /> Planning Commissioners were generally in favor of the project. BKV anticipates <br /> submitting an application for a January Public Hearing. <br /> Discussion Item—Signage for Irondale High School football stadium—Mr. Nick <br /> Temali—Mounds View Public Schools <br /> Mounds Views Public Schools is considering additional signage for the athletic facility at <br /> Irondale Senior High School. Mr. Temali explained this type of thing is evolving in <br /> school districts due to the financial needs that are increasing. Right now it is simply <br /> under consideration and he wanted to present the concept to the Commissioners. Most <br /> likely the signage would not be visible from the road or from adjacent residential <br /> properties.
