/ Approved <br /> November 15, 2005 / <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION PROCEEDINGS <br /> CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> Regular Meeting—October 18, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. <br /> Present: Commissioners Bruce Howard, Karen Mann,Norm Schiferl, Tom O'Keefe, <br /> and Paul Zisla <br /> Also Present: Grant Fernelius, Community Development Director, and Mary Burg, City <br /> Council Member <br /> • Agenda Review: No changes <br /> • Approval of Minutes: The September 20th, 2005 minutes were approved. <br /> • Council Action: City Council Member Mary Burg reported the City held its <br /> annual Town Hall meeting on October 8, 2005, which was well attended. The <br /> Council is working on the yearly budget for the upcoming year. The storm clean <br /> up is almost complete. The City's cost for the clean up to-date is $220,000.00. <br /> She also noted that Applewood Pointe and Beisswenger's started their <br /> development. <br /> Schiferl asked if the Council or staff knew if the City would qualify for any <br /> FEMA grants. Burg responded that the City is currently looking into county aid <br /> funds, but at this time the City does not know if it qualifies. She also stated that <br /> she would report back to the Commission when she hears anymore regarding <br /> grant funding. Zisla inquired if the Council had any discussion in regards to the <br /> status of Brighton Village. Burg replied that there had not had any additional <br /> discussions,but the demolition for the site will start in November. Fernelius also <br /> stated that Kraus-Anderson reported that they are going to re-look at the site plan <br /> and possibly come back with a new site plan,but have not specified a schedule on <br /> rebuilding. <br /> Public Hearing: SP 05-15 Special Use Permit for a proposed detached garage larger <br /> than 624 sq. ft. <br /> Consideration of a special use permit to construct a garage larger than 624 sq. ft. on a <br /> single family lot at 2529 County Rd. H. Mr. Hable wishes to construct a detached 24' by <br /> 35' garage (840 sq. ft.).
