She also reported that some of the Commissioners and <br /> Council members attended Taxi 2000 in Fridley. Taxi 2000 is a award winning <br /> personal rail transportation system that could help alleviate the traffic problems <br /> that the area currently faces by lowering costs, more energy efficient and by not <br /> having to build as many highways and cars in the future. The City hosted a <br /> Recognition Dinner for the Public Safety Volunteers. The local guest speaker Jim <br /> Wellna, the Federal Air Transportation Chief for thirteen states, was able to tell <br /> the dinner what has happened to our air transportation since the year 2001. <br /> Pal <br /> To hold a public hearing and consider a Special Use Permit application fro a one-day car <br /> sales event. The event is proposed to be held on May 21, 2005 in the parking lost of <br /> Main Street Village. <br /> The sale event is proposed to be one day from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on May 21, 2005. <br /> The CU Companies-owned lots has 332 parking stalls available for sales staff,buyers, <br /> and sale items. The applicants are proposing to hold an event that will encompass <br /> between 125 and 175 vehicles.
