i"

a Council approved a lease agreement with Academy of BioScience to lease .
12,000 square feet within the Family Service Center. Start date: Aug. 1,2007.
a The Mothers of Multiples group rented the gymnasium on Saturday, March
24th. This event brought hundreds of persons to the FSC increasing visibility
to a demographic that is likely to use the Eagles Nest.
a The Family Service Center closes for one week each year for a deep and
thorough cleaning. This year's annual shut-down will be July 2- 6, 2007.
After much research and discussions with the FSC tenants, this week proves
to make the most business sense to be closed for cleaning.
a The Parks and Recreation Department sent out nearly 1,000 postcard/coupons
this week for Brightwood Hills Golf Course. This coupon markets a special
that offers 4 golf rounds for the price of 3 (must be a foursome) and can be
redeemed anytime during the 2007 season. During the winter season our Golf
Operation Manager, Ken Manthis, developed this mailing list by using a
reverse phone directory process. By doing this, we obtained the mailing
addresses of individuals who used the golf course during the 2006 season.
This target marketing is typically very effective; it will reward and strengthen
repeat clientele and hopefully bring us new customers. Our point of sale will
track this coupon and we will be able to see if this is a useful marketing piece.
a The summer brochure was mailed the last week of March.

. SUPPORTING COMMUNITY REINVESTMENT .
a On March 27th, City Council accepted the bid for the Hansen Park Pavilion
replacement.
