Motion Carried. <br /> <br />SP-190 American Portable Telecom(APT) <br />Mattila reviewed the case report concerning an application for a special use permit to install a digital wireless <br />telephone antenna to the City water tower and construct a small equipment building in a City well house site. <br />Mattila showed slides of the site. <br /> <br />O’Brien asked what would be the visual impact of the proposal on the neighbors. Mattila answered the <br />building would be a small building on a slab foundation. Blomquist pointed out the case report specifies the <br />building would be 12' by 20'. <br /> <br />Maureen Manion of APT said APT has agreed the building would be brick similar to the well house building. <br /> <br />Jensen asked how many licenses are issued for each community. Manion answered there are four or five <br />carriers. <br /> <br />Zisla asked if the use of a water tower by one carrier precludes its use by another carrier. Manion responded <br />there is plenty of room for other antennas. APT will be putting up a maximum of nine antennas on the water <br />tower, leaving plenty of space for others. Interference is not an issue. Zisla asked if APT has an exclusive <br />agreement with the City.
