<br />Commissioner O’Brien mentioned he thought it had been decided on developing the <br />Comprehensive Plan, to leave this area as is in case US Filter wanted to expand. Kevin <br />Locke explained he believed those discussions were actually part of the old Hwy 8 <br />Corridor planning process rather than the Comprehensive Plan update. <br /> <br />The representative of the building, Bob Norell, stated the thriving business will probably <br />need to expand at some point in the future. A zoning change would be reflected in his tax <br />status and he would then be restricted from any further growth on that site. He would <br />like to retain the I-2 designation. A commissioner stated he did not like to see a split in <br />properties into two different zoning categories and asked if there were any other options. <br /> <br />Staff said that if the landowner approaches the City with plans for expansion, the City is <br />open to working with Johnson Screens now or in the future when they wish to expand <br />and possibly develop to the north. <br /> <br />Douglas Pullen of Hubcap Warehouse, spoke describing his quest for information <br />regarding how any rezoning would affect his current business or any plans he might have <br />for his future business endeavors. <br /> <br />CONTINUE THE PUBLIC HEARING <br />Motion by O’Brien, Seconded by Schiferl to <br />IN JANUARY. <br /> <br />7 Ayes, 0 Nays, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />The meeting adjourned at 9:51 p.m. <br /> <br />________________________________________________ <br />Patrick Boylan, Intermediate City Planner <br />
