Motion Carried. <br />RIEN AND CHIFERL WERE ABSENT <br /> <br />Council Action <br />Larson reported that, earlier this evening, the City Council reviewed eleven applications for the open position <br />on the Council. The Council chose two applicants to interview Thursday, April 23, at 7:00 p.m. in the <br />Council Chambers. The meeting will be open to the public and will be televised. After the interviews <br />Thursday evening, the Council will make their choice. The appointee will begin serving next Tuesday and will <br />serve for two years. In the November 1999 election, two four-year terms and one two-year term will be up for <br />election. State Statute dictated this method of filling the vacancy. <br /> <br />Agenda Review <br />Schiferl asked if the Commission should reorder the agenda items. After a brief discussion, the Commission <br />reordered the agenda and moved the G & P item to the last public hearing. <br /> <br />Livingston explained to the audience that, in a public hearing, the staff will review the planning report, the <br />Commission will ask questions and then the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions and give <br />their opinions. <br /> <br />Public Hearings <br />PL-244, NC-10 Richard E.
