<br />1. The City Engineer shall review the Preliminary Plat prior to hearing at the <br />City Council. <br /> <br />2.The applicant shall file all necessary drawings with Ramsey County. <br /> <br />5 Ayes 0 Nays, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FROM LDR <br />TO PQ-P. <br />New Brighton’s current Comprehensive Plan calls for the future land use of the single <br />family residential properties to be “Low Density, Residential”. It is believed a more <br />appropriate future land use designation would be “Public & Quasi-Public” to better suit <br />the type of activity in a combined Police and Fire Station. Staff believes that the specific <br />residential parcels on the Future Land Use Map should be changed from Low Density <br />Residential (LDR) to Public & Quasi-Public (PQ-P). It is expected the Met Council will <br />approve the changes to the Plan. <br /> <br />There was some discussion that in the future it might be better in these situations to <br />amend the Comprehensive Plan first and then proceed with rezoning or do them <br />simultaneously. <br /> <br />CLOSE THE PUBLIC HEARING. <br />Moved and seconded to <br />5 Ayes 0 Nays, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Baker, Seconded by O’Keefe to <br />WAIVE THE READING AND RECOMMEND <br />APPROVAL TO THE CITY COUNCIL TO AMMEND THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FROM <br />LDR TO PQ – P SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITION: <br /> <br />1. City Staff shall work with the Metropolitan Council to gain approval of amended plan. <br /> <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />General Business - <br /> None. <br /> <br />Announcements and Updates – <br />The North Metro Home & Garden Fair will be held <br />March 2, 2002, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Mounds View Community Center. <br />There will be 60 contractors and vendors participating. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />The meeting adjourned at 7:42 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Patrick Boylan, Intermediate City Planner <br /> <br />
