Fernelius stated that the <br />ordinance is written with the Council discretion to decide on if the fee would be <br />appropriate or not. Gundlach added that the City Attorney wanted that language included <br />in the ordinance, so the Council could look at the determined use of the facility and then <br />decide if the fee was appropriate. <br /> <br />Baker suggested tabling the discussion until the Parks department and staff can determine <br />what the fees are and how they will be applied. O’Keefe stated that he would like to see <br />a clarification of the monetary dedication fee amount and how it would be determined. <br />He added that the dedication could be justified not only by the use, but also for a goal, <br />such as a park or public art, that is for the City as a whole. The City has just started this process, with a majority of <br />which will take place in 2007. Howard added that the Met Council has several trainings that <br />would be beneficial for the Commission members to understand how certain things relate to the <br />required updates. <br /> <br />Council Member Doffing reported that the last council meeting they passed a resolution for Arbor <br /> <br />Day.
