Building Expansion <br /> <br />The applicants are requesting Site Plan approval in order to construct a 48,840 s.f. addition to the existing <br />th <br />building at 300 5 Avenue NW. The proposed addition includes 14 loading dock spaces and an additional <br />th <br />access onto 5 Avenue NW, which will be shared with the property to the immediate south. Procedurally, no <br />public hearing is required. <br /> <br />Dalco Enterprises, Inc. was granted Site Plan (LP2000-009) approval in June of 2000 for construction of the <br />existing building, which consists of approximately 25,070 s.f. of office space and 49,700 s.f. of warehouse <br />space. At that time it was anticipated that a warehouse expansion of approximately 40,000 s.f. would be <br />constructed in the future. Dalco Enterprises is a distributor of commercial, institutional, and industrial cleaning <br />supplies. <br /> <br />Mann inquired if the addition will be a similar or different use than the existing building. McSilton replied that <br />the addition will be warehouse for their paper products. <br /> <br />ALP2007-005: <br />Motion by Schiferl, second by Howard to <br />PPROVE SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS <br /> <br />1.Implementation of the Public Works/Engineering recommendations noted in the interoffice memo dated <br />4-12-07. <br /> <br />2.With notice to the applicant, the City Planner may require construction of proof of parking stalls when it <br />is observed that the site is becoming under parked. <br /> <br /> <br />Motion Approved. <br />6 ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Announcements <br /> <br />Sign moratorium. <br /> <br />Gundlach announced that the Council has adopted a sign moratorium related to electronic reader boards. The <br />League has been working with SRF and the City of Minnetonka on a study related to this issue, with an <br />informational meeting being held on Friday.
