Highway 8 NW. <br />Report No. 07 -106. <br />Issistant Director of Community Development, David Black explained that upon the Resolution No. 07 -041. <br />deposit of $885,660 the City would be able to take title of the property. <br />Councilmember Doffing reiterated that this is a court order demand, <br />Mr. Black confirmed this is part of the quick take process. <br />Councilmember Doffing questioned if the closing date has been confirmed. Mr. Black <br />explained the City intends to acquire the property by July 1, 2007; however the <br />closing date has not been determined. <br />Motion by Councilmember Burg, seconded by Councilmember Hoffman to <br />waive the reading and adopt the attached resolution approving the deposit of $885,660 <br />with the District Court Administrator pursuant to the Quick Take Order for the <br />acquisition of the property at 1430 Old Highway 8 NW <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />3. Report No. 07 -107 <br />City Manager, Dean Lotter explained this item has been discussed at length; as a <br />result an applicant's application was delayed. Mr. Lotter expressed his appreciation <br />for the patience of the applicant. <br />City Planner, Janice Gundlach explained the ordinance allowing the city to collect <br />10% park dedication fees, from both commercial /industrial and residential <br />properties have been in effect since May 2006. In March of 2007, an applicant <br />submitted a commercial expansion request, in which the commercial /industrial <br />park dedication fee would be collected. It was determined at that time that further <br />refinement was needed. Council directed staff to look at reducing the fee required by <br />commercial / industrial applicants. The formula for determining the per acre figure <br />that coincides with the per dwelling figure was outlined. <br />Councilmember Bauman stated it was her thought that "more work needs to be <br />done" on the policy. <br />Councilmember Doffing and Burg expressed appreciation to staff for their effort in <br />rewriting the ordinance. <br />Motion by Councilmember Burg, seconded by Councilmember Hoffman to <br />Approve Policy to Implement Commercial and Industrial Park Dedication Fees. <br />Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />4.
