Page 6 — June 12, 2007 New Brighton Council Minutes <br />Mr. Robert Allen, Windsor Green expressed concern with the significant smaller <br />'ligation plan submitted this time. Director Jacobson explained that the terms are <br />re general in the current plan, allowing flexibility to staff and council. <br />F o( <br />. <br />Motion by Council Member Hoffman, seconded by Council Member Burg to approve <br />the mitigation plan and provisional multiple dwelling license for Penrod Lane LLC for <br />the property Timber Crest Apartments located at 2090 -2160 West County Road E <br />pending payment of outstanding utility bill with the following conditions: <br />1. Background Checks will be done by a professional organization approved by New <br />Brighton Public Safety Department. <br />2. Purchase agreement will be provided to the Public Safety Department. <br />3. Copies of Agreement with Avalon Security Corporation will be provided to New <br />Brighton Public Safety Department. <br />4. Mitigation plan will be a amended to include the recording of car license plate <br />numbers. <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements, and Updates <br />City Manager -Dean Lotter reported that the contract with the Teamsters' union is near <br />settled, with a vote to come at the end of June. The next City Council meeting is scheduled <br />for Monday, June 25, 2007. Mr. Lotter and Mayor Larson will be attending the annual <br />League of Minnesota Cities conference in Duluth June 26`h through June 291h. <br />Council Member Gina Bauman — Public Safety Commission <br />Councilmember Bauman was unable to attend the Public Safety Commission meeting. It <br />was reported that Officers Singer, Paetznick, Layton, Hyland, Krebsbach, Olson, Director <br />Jacobson, and firefighter Schutte are all intending to run in Grandmas Marathon June 161h. <br />Council Member Mary Burg- Parks, Recreation and Environmental Commission <br />Councilmember Burg attended the May 2° Parks, Recreation and Environmental <br />Commission meeting. It was reported that the Emerald Ash Boar is of concern, and <br />reminded residents not to transport wood. There is a "Safe Routes to School" meeting <br />scheduled for June 26, 2007. <br />x Sharon Doffing - Planning Commission <br />Doffing expressed her excitement for the upcoming groundbreaking for LA <br />fitness. <br />Council Member Ann Hoffman - Economic Development Commission <br />Councilmember Hoffman was unable to attend the Economic Development Commission <br />meeting. The groundbreaking ceremony at the former Brighton Village site is tentatively <br />scheduled for June 25, 2007. <br />
