Page 6 - August 14, 2007 New Brighton Council Minutes <br />Council Member Marv Burr Parks, Recreation and Environmental Commission <br />imuncilmember Burg expressed her condolences to the victims and the families of the I35W <br />'Fridge tragedy. The park shelter at Hansen Park has been reconstructed. The seven benches <br />from the pilot program "Active Living Ramsey County" are being installed. National Night <br />parties were attended. <br />Council Member Sharon Doffing - Planning Commission <br />Councilmember Doffing also expressed sympathy and prayers to all those significantly <br />affected by the tragedy on the I35W bridge. Councilmember Doffing reported that National <br />Night Out was a success. <br />Council Member Ann Hoffman - Economic Development Commission <br />Councilmember Hoffman was out of town for the last Economic Development Commission <br />meeting. Gratitude was expressed to all who assisted with the I35W bridge collapse, prayers <br />and well wishes were expressed to those affected by the tragedy. <br />Mayor Larson <br />Mayor Larson attended the Economic Development Commission meeting August 7th <br />discussing the relocation of the Post Office, the railroad wye, and the AUAR report. <br />Mayor Larson congratulated the new Royal family, and acknowledged the departing Royal <br />family. National Night Out parties totaled 135. Mayor Larson greeted the Antique cars at the <br />finish line in Long Lake Park on Saturday. Appreciation was expressed to the volunteers for a <br />successful Stockyard Days celebration. The City's extensive water rescue training was <br />0parent at the I35W bridge collapse, the City also proved rescue assistance at Turtle Lake and <br />e Owasso earlier this summer. Mayor Larson announced he will be presenting the Poly- <br />partners program in San Antonio, Texas. <br />Adiournment <br />Motion by Council Member Hoffman, seconded by Council Member Burg to adjourn the <br />meeting. <br />5 Ayes - Q Nays, Motion Carried <br />Meeting was adjourned at 7:39 P.M. <br />Steve Larson, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Daniel A.
