Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Acting Chair Don Heinrich. <br />II. Introduction of new Commission Members <br />New Commissioners Lisa Herrald and Joel Norton were introduced. <br />III. Roll Call <br />Present: Scott Budzynski, Lisa Harreld, Don Heinrich, Ron Meyer, Joel Norton, Char <br />Samuelson, Council Liaison Mary Burg, Staff Liaison Sandy Breuer and Office Assistant Jodelle <br />Olson <br />Absent: Jeanne Frischman, Ed Greacen, Tom Trevorrow <br />IV. Minutes of June 6, 2007 <br />MOTION BY CHAR SAMUELSON, SECONDED BY SCOTT BUDZYNSKI, TO APPROVE <br />THE JUNE 6, 2007 MINUTES AS SUBMITTED. MOTION CARRIED. <br />V. Correspondence <br />A. Council Report - Council Member Burg <br />Council Member Burg stated there are a lot of things going on in the City; along <br />Old 8 and in the Brighton Village area. Ground breaking has already taken place <br />in Brighton Village for the new fitness center, office and possible restaurant. <br />There has also been a groundbreaking in the NW side of the NW Quadrant. The <br />City closed with the API Group, there was a ground breaking last week. API will <br />have New Brighton as their Corporate Headquarters and employ about 400 <br />people. Another medical device business plans to have their headquarters here in <br />New Brighton and plan to double in size to about 800 employees. We have had <br />other large groups interested in the NWQ site. Stockyard Days is next week. <br />National Night out is Tuesday night and the parade is Thursday. Council Member <br />Burg asked if there were any questions. <br />Scott Budzynski asked if there was anything new to report on Champps and the <br />gas station on Silver Lake Road. Burg stated nothing new has been brought to the <br />Council. <br />Burg also took opportunity to thank the new commissioners for volunteering their <br />time and she welcomed them. <br />. VI.
