f <br />i <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br />..CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />Pursuant to notice thereof a regular meeting of the New <br />Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, July 10, 1979 at <br />7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803, 5th Avenue NW, <br />New Brighton, Minnesota. <br />Present: Mayor James Senden,.Councilmembers Bob Benke, <br />Roger Blomquist, Jeanette Janecek, Fritz Werdouschegg <br />Also <br />Present: Dennis S. Zylla, City Manager <br />Donald L. Lais, City Attorney <br />Les Proper, Director of Public Works <br />James F. Winkels, Director of Community Development <br />Vernon C. Pederson, City Clerk/Treasurer <br />Minutes <br />Motion by Werdouschegg, seconded by Benke to approve the <br />final draft of the minutes of June 26, 1979, as presented. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br />Consent Agenda <br />Motion by Werdouschegg, seconded by Benke to approve Consolidated <br />Fund Vouchers 29628 - 29693, 53797 - 53903; and Liquor Fund <br />Vouchers 11414 - 11480; a RESOLUTION REQUESTING 1978-- 1979 RESOLUTION <br />LOCAL PLAN ASSISTANCE GRANT FUNDING FROM THE METROPOLITAN NO. 2223 <br />COUNCIL; and to consider Assessment Division 454716 as the <br />last item of the Council Business. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br />Public Hearings <br />The Director of Public Works presented a Proposed Street <br />slide presentation depicting four alter- Improvement 79-10B. <br />natives for access to 10th Street from the Supplement to <br />area generally west of 8th Avenue NW and -Report No. 79-418 <br />north of 8th Street NW and east of 11th 7:30-- 9:40 <br />Avenue NW. - <br />Fred Stanford, 921 10th Street NW, expressed <br />concern with sig ht visibility encountered in <br />alternatives number 1 and number 3. He stated <br />he was in favor of alternatives number 2 or <br />number 4.
