City of New Brighton <br />July 24, 1979, <br />SETTING DATE OF HEARING: FOR ASSESSMENT OF IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECTS 77-4,5,6 and 7; 78-1; approve the following <br />licenses: <br />Donald Michels General <br />Diamond Clear Pool Service General <br />E. C. Corporation General <br />Bill's Sheet Metal Heating <br />Everglade Builders Masonry <br />Amundsen Construction. General <br />Forest Mechanical & Supply Mechanical <br />(Heating, AC) <br />to authorize the City Manager to dispose of <br />all u-iused vehicles and to remove from the consent <br />agenda and place consideration of permission to enter <br />Hansen Park to Rice Creek Watershed District at the <br />end of the agenda. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes motion-carried - <br />Public Hearings <br />Jeffery Wallace, 2436 Rhode Island Avenue, <br />applicant, was present to answer questions. <br />Deborah Barnes representing the Innsbruck <br />Nursing Home stated that the nursing home <br />wanted to be on record as having reservations <br />in regard to the proposed rezoning. <br />Jack Downing, 2750 Highway 100 spoke in favor <br />of the proposed rezoning. <br />Richard Loren, owner of the property located at <br />1100 27th Avenue spoke in favor of the proposed <br />rezoning. <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist to close <br />the hearing. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist to <br />waive the reading and hold the first reading <br />of an ORDINANCE AMENDING THE NEW BRIGHTON <br />ZONING ORDINANCE BY REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY <br />WITHIN THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON FROM.R-1, <br />SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL AND R-2-, TWO-FAMILY <br />RESIDENTIAL-TO B-1, LIMITED BUSINESS (generally <br />north-of-I-694 frontage road and west of 27th <br />Avenue NW). <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br />Report No. 79-452 <br />R-108, R-110 <br />7:35 - 7:43 <br />Supplement to <br />Report No. 79-436 <br />Kevin Ferris, 810 10th Street NW, applicant Street Vacation <br />was present to answer questions. 10th St. & 8th Asp. <br />7:44 - 7:58 <br />Motion by Werdouschegg,.seconded by Blomquist Report No. 79-450 <br />to close the hearing.
