3 City of New Brighton Council Proceedings February 27, 1979 Council Business Motion by Senden, seconded by Blomquis t to Turf Sweeper 79-329 authorize administration to issue purchase order for turf sweeper to R. L. Gould & Co. in the amount of $6,200. 5 ayes - 0 nayes- carried No action was taken by council on auto body shop at 551-9th Street. No action required. 10th Street The Director of Public Works made a slide presentation and reviewed the supplement to the 10th Street Upgrading Preliminary Plan. Upgrading Ernie Gustafson, Leroy Ditsch and Dan Bucholz asked questions and made comments regarding 79-332 the 10th Street Upgrading. Duane Waldoch asked how soon this preliminary plan would be in the final plan stage. Motion by Senden, seconded by Werdouschegg to approve in concept the preliminary report for proposed 10th Street upgrading project, City Improvement No. 79-10, and to incorporate the following changes in the preliminary report: 1. 52-foot wide road section between the railroad tracks and Long Lake Road bridge; 2. Additional 7-foot right of way along the north side of 10th Street from approximately 8th Avenue NW to Long Lake Road bridge; 3. Provide for a 12 degree curve south of Long Lake Road bridge; 4. Construction of a 10th Avenue NW connection between 8th Street and 10th Street NW; 5. Construction of a 5-foot wide sidewalk from the railroad tracks to the Long Lake Road bridge on the north side Motion by Werdouuchegg, seconded by Blomquist to direct staff to forward copies of the revised preliminary report, 79-10, to Ramsey County for review and incorporation as a joint project by Ramsey County and the City of New Brighton under a joint powers agreement 5 ayes - 0 nayes- carried Vote on original motion 5 ayes - 0 nayes- carried
