4 <br />' City of New Brighton <br />Council Proceedings <br />Feb. 27, 1979 <br />Motion by Werdouschegg, seconded by Blomquist to ORDINANCE <br />waive reading the ordinance and to hold second <br />reading, adoption and publication of AN ORDINANCE NO. 445 <br />PROHIBITING THE USE OF CERTAIN TRAPS WITHIN <br />THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Motion by Senden, seconded by Werdouschegg that the city YSB <br />council go on record as urging the Mounds View'School <br />Board to aid in funding of the Youth Service Bureau. <br />5 ayes -_0_nayes- carried <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Janecek to amend <br />the resolution in 4th WHEREAS to read: <br />"WHEREAS high traffic volume and projected severe RESOLUTION <br />congestion on Silver Lake Road......" and <br />first NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED ......... That NO. 2170 <br />Ramsey County and the State of Minnesota be and is <br />hereby.... and to adopt RESOLUTION EXPRESSING <br />CITY CONCERN WITH PEDESTRAIN SAFETY AND ROADWAY <br />CAPACITY- KL -ROAD-BRIDG-E--£R6SSING __694 <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes- carried <br />Councilman Berke discussed the feasibility Joint <br />of initiation of a joint transportation meeting <br />of north suburban communities. transportation <br />Meeting <br />Ed Ross presented the Environmental Quality <br />Commissions' suggestions. <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Werdouschegg to <br />direct Council to invite the neighboring communities <br />to a street and highway issues workshop for April 7 <br />and to diredt the EQC to develop and present the program for <br />that workshop subject to the approval of the city council <br />at its meeting r?arch 27. Leaders <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes- carried Workshop <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Janecek to authorize <br />development of a community leaders workshop and that <br />Councilman Benke be named as chairperson for that <br />workshop to be authorized to select a committee of 4 <br />to assist him in planning for this workshop. <br />5 ayes-- 0 nayes- carried <br />
