1 <br />�I <br />Council Proceedings <br />City of New Brighton <br />March 8, 1977 <br />Councilman Senden asked whether the residents wanted <br />the lake dredged now or in the future. <br />Mr. Wozniak stated he didn't know but would find out. <br />He stated he would circulate a questionnaire to the <br />abutting property owners asking for their input as to <br />Councilman Senden's question, as well as other suggestions <br />in the Moechnig report and would provide the results <br />of the survey to the Council within 45 to 60 days. <br />Motion by Hardt, seconded by Werdouschegg to direct <br />administration to contact the Rice Creek Watershed District <br />to ascertain their opinion as to the role they might play with <br />the water quality problem of Lake Forest. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes- carried <br />0 <br />Administration <br />Contact Rice <br />Creek <br />.Watershed <br />Mayor Bromander directed, with the consent of the Council, Street <br />Vacation <br />that the letter from Arthur J. Stenstrom re: vacation <br />of poriton of 6th Street NW be received and placed in the minutes <br />Motion by Senden, seconded by Hardt to initiate <br />street vacation proceedings for 6th Street -'NW between 22nd Avenue <br />and Fairchild and to refer street vacation to the Planning <br />Commission. <br />4 ayes- 0 nayes- carried <br />Mayor Bromander directed, with consent of the Council, that <br />letter from Kenneth Simons, Landscape Architedt, dated <br />Feb. 22, 1977, re: Rush Lake Open Space Site property <br />a cauisition, be received and placed in the minutes <br />Motion by Werdouschegg, seconded by Hardt to waive reading RESOLUTION <br />of resolution and to adopt resolution entitled RESOLUTION NO. 1855 <br />APPROVING COUNTY PURCHASE AND EASEMENT ACQUISITION OF <br />ADDITIONAL PARCELS AROUND RUSH LAM OPEN SPACE SITE <br />4 ayes- 0 nayes- carried <br />Mayor Bromander directed, with consent of the Council, that <br />administrative report. dated Feb. 24, 1977, re: joint powers <br />agreement, Long Lake, Rush Lake Parks be received and RESOLUTION <br />placed in the minutes NO. 1856 <br />Motion by Senden, seconded by Werdouschegg to waive reading <br />o f resolution and to adopt resolutoon entitled RESOLUTION <br />APPROVING JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT BETWEEN RAMSEY COUNTY AND THE <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON REGARDING THE PLANNING OF RUSH LAKE/LONG LAKE <br />PARKS. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes- carried <br />
