<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The chain of lifesaving efforts and the determination and strength of Ms. Berger led to her <br /> survival and successful return home. 911 was utilized to enter the emergency response system, <br /> public safety personnel responded quickly using their training, talents and equipment, and, <br /> advanced life support personnel treated and transported Ms. Berger to a nearby hospital to <br /> continue efforts. And, Ms. Berger was tenacious in her fight for life. <br /> <br /> For the efforts of many, on behalf of the City of New Brighton and the Department of Public <br /> Safety, it is our honor to award Officer Kathy McNeely, Sgt.
