Page 3 -- August 28, 2007 New Brighton Council Minutes <br />I yor Larson gave an additional opportunity for any questions or comments from the <br />dience; there were none. <br />Motion by Councilmember Hoffman, seconded by Councilmember Doffing to close the <br />Public Hearing. The Public Hearing was closed at 6:42 pm. <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />Motion by Councilmember Hoffman, seconded by Councilmember Burg to adopt the <br />attached resolution approving the request as submitted. <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />2. MS2007 -004, City of New Brighton requests approval of a Minor <br />Subdivision impacting property located. at 400 tat Street SW whereby a <br />parcel would be created to facilitate a new railroad wye. <br />Report No. 07 -224. Resolution No. 07 -094. <br />Planner Gundlach gave an overview of the proposed subdivision. The legal descriptions <br />ere not received from the surveyor at the time of the meeting. Ms Gundlach recommended <br />the Public Hearing be held as scheduled, and action be tabled until the next Council meeting, <br />September 1 It'. Councilmember Doffing questioned the need for "Functional Replacement." <br />Ms. Gundlach replied that the City needed to relocate the current location were large boulders <br />are removed from trains and stored. Councilmember Doffing inquired as to the City's <br />relationship with S.E.H. Mr. Lotter reported that the staff member at S.E.H. has expertise in <br />the area of moving railroads. Councilmember Doffing requested the Council review using <br />S.E.H. as a consultant in the future. Councilmember Burg questioned any other uses for the <br />functional replacement parcel. Ms. Gundlach stated that would not be controlled by the City. <br />Mayor Larson opened the Public Hearing at 6:52 pm. <br />Mayor Larson gave an opportut -Aty for any questions or comments from the audience; <br />there were none. <br />Motion by Councilmember Bauman. Seconded by Councilmember Hoffman to close the <br />Public Hearing. The Public Hearing was closed at 6:52 pm. <br />Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />Motion by Councilmember Hoffman. seconded by Councilmember Bauman to table <br />the item until September 11, 2007. <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />2.
