Council Proceedings <br />Jan 25, 1977 <br />Representative Novak also noted to the Council that no <br />Court Consolidation bill had been introduced. <br />Regarding the proposal of Ramsey County for graduated <br />assessment of commercial or industrial construction, <br />he noted that legislative staff was currently researching <br />the proposal and that the Council would be alerted of the <br />times that committees would be looking at this bill. He <br />further pointed out a variety of different avenues he <br />was researching for potential funding of acquisition of <br />the Brightwood Hills golf course. <br />New Business <br />Motion by Werdouschegg, seconded by Hardt to receive Street <br />letter from Richard A. Neumann, dated Jan. 5, 1977 re: Vacation <br />street vacation in area of 510 13th Ave. NW. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Motion by Werdouschegg, seconded by Hardt to refer <br />to the Board of Review for study and report the request <br />for street vacation by Richard A. Neumann. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes- carried <br />0 <br />Motion by Hardt, seconded by Werdouschegg, to receive Haman Rights <br />letter from Jerry Hartlaub, Human Rights Commission, Handicapped <br />dated Jan. 19, 1977 re: handicapped parking spaces. Parking spaces <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Motion by Hardt, seconded by Fisher to direct <br />administration to prepare an ordinance establishing <br />and enforcing handicapped parking regulations as to <br />new construction. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes- carried <br />Motion by Hardt, seconded by Werdouschegg to direct Adm. to report <br />administration to study and report on problems of .August 9 <br />accessibility cf handicapped with existing structures Council <br />within the City and present a report to Council within Meeting <br />6 months (first meeting in August) <br />ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />.Notion by Hardt, seconded by Senden to receive letter <br />and report from EQC and administrative report dated Water quality <br />Jan. 19, 1977 re: Water Quality Problems -Lake Forest. Problems -Lake <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes- carried Forest <br />Motion by Hardt, seconded by Werdouschegg to direct <br />administration to submit a copy of the Howard Moechnig <br />report to the Rice Creek Watershed District, to contact <br />Mr. Moechnig to see when he would be available to be <br />present at a future council meeting to discuss the issue <br />and to advise the Rice Creek Watershed District that a meeting <br />will be set in the future to discuss the problem. <br />5 ayes- 0 nayes- carried <br />
