Due to the recent acquisition
of new materials and information which pertains materially to Falcon
Oil Company's variance request, we believe that it is in the best interest
of the Village of New Brighton that the Council remands Falcon Oil
Company's variance request to the Planning Commission. We believe that
by remanding Falcon Oil Company's variance request to the Planning
Commission, a more extensive and productive evaluation of the community's
needs can best be satisfied. In part, we make this request because it is
our understanding that since January, 1977, the Planning Commission
has been restructured for the purposes of providing the Council with in
depth evaluation reports.
