Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order by Chair Frischman at 7:15 p.m. <br />H. Roll Call <br />Present: Commissioners Budzynski, Frischman, Harreld, Heinrich, Meyer, Norton, <br />Samuelson, Council Liaison Mary Burg, Director of Parks and Recreation Sandy Breuer, <br />Office Assistant Jodelle Olson <br />Also Present: Parks Maintenance Manager, Chris Wolla (present for the park tour) and <br />Recreation Supervisor, Cindy Tranby who gave a power point presentation during the <br />meeting. <br />Absent: Tom Trevorrow <br />III. Minutes of September 5, 2007 <br />MOTION BY BUDZYNSKI, SECONDED BY MEYER, TO APPROVE THE <br />SEPTEMBER 5, 2007 MINUTES AS SUBMITTED. MOTION CARRIED. <br />IV. Correspondence <br />A. Council Report — Council Member Burg <br />Council Member Burg stated the Council has been working hard with the hotel <br />that is interested in coming to New Brighton. There will be a special meeting <br />tomorrow night with Transoma (a medical device company) to iron out some <br />details. <br />The Mayor was in Texas last weekend. He was invited by the State of Texas, <br />League of Cities to present the program he has shared with other states and the <br />National League of Cities on our Poly Partners program. Many questions were <br />directed to the Mayor regarding New Brighton. It was obvious there was a lot of <br />interest in what was happening in New Brighton. People have been really <br />impressed with what we have accomplished in New Brighton. <br />There was a retirement party for a long-time City employee, Al Bauer. <br />There was not a quorum at the last Council meeting so business could not be <br />conducted. Only Ann Hoffman notified them of her absence, so it was not <br />expected. <br />V. Public Hearing <br />A. None scheduled <br />
