Director of Community Development Grant Fernelius reported that in the summer of 2006 Report No. 07-285. complaints were reported related to the strong odor originating from the lumberyard The source of the odor was identified In April 2007 City Council approved an agreement allowing for additional testing of a replacement process. Testing was completed in summer of 2007, revealing detectable level of odor significantly reduced. The agreement was made that measurable odor unit not exceed 12 odor units at the property line. Both councilmembers Bauman and Doffing expressed appreciation for amicable outcome. • Motion by Coundmember Bauman, seconded by Councilmember Doffing to approve the attached memorandum of understanding with Bell Lumber and Pole Company regarding odor testing and mitigation efforts at 778 i `Street SW.
