November 27, 2007- Page 6 <br />Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements and Updates: <br />Dean Lotter <br />Mr. Lotter reported that Sergeant's Union negotiations are in progress. A reminder was given for the <br />Town Hall meeting on December 6`h, and the Truth in Taxation hearing on Monday, December 3rd. <br />Councilinember Bauman <br />The Public Safety Department is accepting donations for the Santa Cop program. Jerry Heilman will <br />be promoted to the position of Fire Captain effective January 1, 2008. The Public Safety Commission <br />meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 2§6 An announcement was made for the next <br />CERT training beginning in January. Kip LaMotte, Fire Marshall received the Public Safety <br />Meritorious Service Award <br />Councilmember Doffing <br />Absent <br />Councilmember Burg <br />The Northwest Quadrant Park and Recreation steering committee held a meeting November 26, <br />with the next meeting scheduled for Thursday, January 3 at the Family Service Center. The December <br />Parks and Recreation meeting has been cancelled, with the January meeting being combinedwith the <br />Planning Commission on january 15, 2008. <br />Councifinember Hoffman <br />The next Economic Development Commission meeting will be held December 4, 2007. Condolences <br />were expressed to Councilmember Doffing on the loss of her Grandmother. <br />Mayor Larson <br />Mayor Larson will be attending a teleconference regarding the FCC November 28'x.
