Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chair Frischman. <br />Il. Roll Call <br />Present: Commissioners Frischman, Harreld, Meyer, Norton, <br />Samuelson, Trevorrow, Council Liaison Mary Burg, Director of Parks and Recreation <br />Sandy Breuer, Office Assistant Jodelle Olson <br />Absent: Commissioners Budzynski and Heinrich <br />Also Present: Parks and Recreation Staff members: Facility Use Coordinator Jeanne <br />Balfanz, Recreation Program Manager Pat Tuma and Assistant Director of Parks and <br />Recreation Jason West. <br />111. Minutes of October 3, 2007 <br />MOTION BY SAMUELSON, SECONDED BY, TREVORROW TO APPROVE THE <br />OCTOBER 3, 2007 MINUTES AS SUBMITTED. MOTION CARRIED. <br />IV. Correspondence <br />A. Council Report — Council Member Burg <br />Council Member Burg stated the City is going to court with Rottlund <br />Homes for breach of contract. Two other companies have come forward <br />that have expressed interest in that property. Both are very reputable. <br />NWQ is goingalong quite well. There will be a ground breaking for <br />Transoma on November 8th, They expect to grow to 800 employees. <br />The marketing piece that has been put together for the Family Service <br />Center is wonderful. She gave her compliments to everyone who worked <br />on it. <br />Council Member Burg stated she is honored to serve on the Council again. <br />There was a good voter turn out. <br />No new updates on Brighton Village. She heard that some people are <br />saying that Brighton Village has been taken off the tax role. It is not off the <br />tax role. <br />V. Public Hearing <br />A. None <br />VI. New Business <br />A. Recreation Facility Use Policy & Community Use Fees <br />Parks and Recreation Director Breuer stated the Parks and Recreation <br />Department put the policy together and would like the Commission to <br />recommend this to the Council for acceptance. The School Board is going <br />to a fee-based system for their facilities, fields and ground space. All <br />groups that use those facilities will be paying. Their goal is to start out on <br />
