r <br />(d) To coordinate efforts with economic development activities of the various groups <br />active in the city. <br />(e) To aid the council and planning commission in the proper zoning and orderly <br />development of areas suitable for industrial and commercial development. <br />(f) To assist with and provide insight on developing, compiling, coordinating and <br />publicizing information on matters concerning industrial and commercial development <br />in the city. <br />(g) To assist in preparing and implementing plans and strategies for business retention. <br />(h) To recommend to the council and Planning Commission policies and particular actions <br />in regards to industrial and commercial expansion, development and attraction. <br />(i) To cooperate with and use the facilities of the Minnesota Department of Energy and <br />Economic Development's Star Cities Program. <br />(j) To cooperate and coordinate activities with the New Brighton Chamber of Commerce. <br />(k) To devise and recommend long and short range plans and strategies for industrial and <br />commercial development of the city. <br />(1) To review proposed development plans for compliance with plans and strategies and <br />recommend changes if necessary to better meet goals of those plans and strategies. <br />(m) To perform other duties and functions or conduct studies and investigations as <br />directed by the council. <br />DIVISION 5. CABLE ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />Sec. 2-110. Establishment. <br />The Cable Advisory Commission is hereby established. <br />Sec. 2-111. Purpose. <br />The purpose of this commission is to advise the council on quality and content of municipal <br />programming (currently channel 16) for the city. <br />Sec. 2-112.
