Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) <br />SRFC Safe Schools/Healthy Students Initiative (SS/HS) Connections Grant <br />Partners of Suburban Ramsey County <br />and families; remain involved in district -wide interdisciplinary team meetings <br />regarding school safety and service coordination, co -locate services, where possible; <br />provide shared meeting space for partners; participate in collective and collaborative <br />fund raising efforts to maintain, sustain and expand current programs and services of <br />the SS/HS grant and to remain in close communication with collaborative partners to <br />improve the system of care and address emerging issues affecting all children, youth <br />and families in Suburban Ramsey County. <br />THE JUVENILE COURT AGREES TO: <br />1. Provide expertise and planning guidance to school staff, practitioners and community <br />members on the complexity of individual and family situations and ways to address <br />the conditions and circumstances affecting the student's delinquent or criminal <br />behavior. <br />2. Develop, in cooperation with School and law enforcement, and local service <br />providers, recommended strategies for how the school, SS/HS partnership and <br />community can better prevent juveniles from entering the court system in Suburban <br />Ramsey County. Use case studies to aid practitioners in applying practical and timely <br />strategies for early detection and intervention. <br />THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONSIPROBA TION A GREES TO: <br />1. Designate staff at all levels to implement initiatives of the SS/HS communitywide <br />plan. <br />2. Utilize appropriate release of information forms to share dispositional, placement, and <br />case management information with other agencies as appropriate for purposes of <br />assessment, placement, and enhanced supervision of juveniles. <br />3. Develop, in cooperation with School and law enforcement, and local service <br />providers recommended strategies for how the school, SS/HS partnership and <br />community can better prevent juveniles from committing crimes. Use case studies to <br />aid practitioners in applying practical and timely strategies for early detection and <br />intervention. <br />4. Provide expertise and planning guidance to school -linked pre -diversion and <br />alternative to suspension services in each district. <br />5. Provide planning and supportive resources to schools for chronically truant students. <br />6. Develop strategies for providing support and services to youth returning to school <br />from out of home placement <br />THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILD PROTECTION/CHILDREN'S MENTAL <br />HEALTH, STATUS OFFENDER UNIT AGREES TO: <br />1. Designate staff at all levels to implement initiatives of the SS/HS communitywide <br />plan. <br />2. Utilizing appropriate release of information forms to share dispositional, placement, <br />and case management information with other agencies as appropriate for purposes of <br />assessment, placement, and enhanced supervision of non -status offending juveniles. <br />Page 11 of 16 <br />
