Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) SRFC Safe Schools/Healthy Students Initiative (SS/HS) Connections Grant Partners of Suburban Ramsey County and families; remain involved in district -wide interdisciplinary team meetings regarding school safety and service coordination, co -locate services, where possible; provide shared meeting space for partners; participate in collective and collaborative fund raising efforts to maintain, sustain and expand current programs and services of the SS/HS grant and to remain in close communication with collaborative partners to improve the system of care and address emerging issues affecting all children, youth and families in Suburban Ramsey County. THE JUVENILE COURT AGREES TO: 1. Provide expertise and planning guidance to school staff, practitioners and community members on the complexity of individual and family situations and ways to address the conditions and circumstances affecting the student's delinquent or criminal behavior. 2. Develop, in cooperation with School and law enforcement, and local service providers, recommended strategies for how the school, SS/HS partnership and community can better prevent juveniles from entering the court system in Suburban Ramsey County. Use case studies to aid practitioners in applying practical and timely strategies for early detection and intervention. THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONSIPROBA TION A GREES TO: 1. Designate staff at all levels to implement initiatives of the SS/HS communitywide plan. 2. Utilize appropriate release of information forms to share dispositional, placement, and case management information with other agencies as appropriate for purposes of assessment, placement, and enhanced supervision of juveniles. 3. Develop, in cooperation with School and law enforcement, and local service providers recommended strategies for how the school, SS/HS partnership and community can better prevent juveniles from committing crimes. Use case studies to aid practitioners in applying practical and timely strategies for early detection and intervention. 4. Provide expertise and planning guidance to school -linked pre -diversion and alternative to suspension services in each district. 5. Provide planning and supportive resources to schools for chronically truant students. 6. Develop strategies for providing support and services to youth returning to school from out of home placement THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILD PROTECTION/CHILDREN'S MENTAL HEALTH, STATUS OFFENDER UNIT AGREES TO: 1. Designate staff at all levels to implement initiatives of the SS/HS communitywide plan. 2. Utilizing appropriate release of information forms to share dispositional, placement, and case management information with other agencies as appropriate for purposes of assessment, placement, and enhanced supervision of non -status offending juveniles.
