Report No. 08-099. <br />•Councilmember Phillips requested a review of development fund 460, and the status and expected <br />expenditures over the next 12 months. <br />Motion by Councilmember Phillips, seconded b Councilmember Doffing to approve the amendment <br />to the budget for the railroad ream track project with Minnesota Commercial Railway. <br />4 Ayes— 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements and Updates: <br />Dean Lotter <br />Mr. Lotter reported that a Policy Docket Discussion is scheduled for April 2e at the Family Service <br />Center. A meeting with Mayor Larson and Am Lynczewski to discuss the legislative agenda will be <br />attended March 26, 2008. Mr. Lotter met with a townhouse developer who maybe interested in the <br />Northwest Quadrant, Councilmember Bauman initiated the contact. City Staff is working on <br />assembling records for Rotaund litigation. <br />Councilmember Doffme <br />At the recent Planning Commission meeting, many residents attended in opposition of the proposed <br />•cell tower in Hidden Oaks Park. The Public Safety Department is seeking grants for the replacement <br />of fire truck <br />Councilmember Phillips <br />Councilmember Phillips reminded residents that the City is seeking applications for the Northwest <br />Quadrant Financial Task Force. The next Planning Commission meeting is scheduled for April 15'h <br />Councilmember Bauman <br />Councilmember Bauman reported the next Public Safety Commission meeting is scheduled for March <br />26, 2008: They will be discussing a drive-through at 2051 Silver Lake Rd. Recruitment for fire <br />fighter continues. Testing for Police Officer applicants will be Saturday, March 20 Firefighter Ed <br />Schneider is on a FEMA deployment in Bloomington, LL. Citizens Police Academy will conclude <br />April la. CERT training is scheduled for April 17 through May 29. <br />Councilmember Burg <br />Absent <br />Mayor I arson <br />Mayor Larson offered appreciation to Dean Lotter, Janice Gundlach, Lang Baker and Kim Moore - <br />Sykes for attending William Mitchell, to critique law students on an assignment.
