Because the applicant <br />•was not present at the meeting it was recommended to continue the Pubic Hearing until the June 10, City <br />Council meeting. <br />• <br />0 <br />Motion by Councilmember PhiWips, seconded by Councilmember Burg to continue <br />the Public Hearing until June 10, 2008. <br />4 Ayes— 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />Council Business <br />1. Inter -Plant Sales requests consideration of a site plan, variance, and street vacation to <br />allow construction of a 20,787 s.£ warehouse building at 3595 New Brighton Road. <br />ReportNo. 08-159. <br />City Planner, Janice Gundlach explained the property is zoned I1 -light industrial. The proposed site and <br />landscape plan was also presented. It was reported that all building setbacks were met, including the <br />increased setbacks to the north and east (60 feet when adjacent to residential properties). The Planning <br />Commission held a Public Hearing on May 20, the Commission voted to approve the site plan, variance <br />and vacation. A condition allowing the current accessory structure to remain through construction is <br />included in the resolution. Councilmember Phillips questioned the City code related to exterior building <br />materials Ms. Gundlach referenced the code and provided a sample of the building material. The <br />suggested building material is a metal panel with a stucco -like coating, along with a rock face block. <br />Motion by Councilmember Burg, seconded by Councilmember Bauman to adopt the attached <br />Resolution approving the Site Plan and Variance and to adopt the attached Resolution approving <br />the roadway Vacation. <br />4 Ayes -0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />2. NAI Architects, hrc. on behalf of Champps Restaurant requests re -approval of a Site <br />Plan and Special Use Permit to allow construction of an 8,896 s.f patio for outdoor <br />dining at 2397 Palmer Drive. Report No. 08-160. <br />City Planner, Janice Gundlach reported this item was previously approved by the City Council on <br />April 24, 2007. A site plan and proposed floor plan was displayed. The Planning Commission held a <br />Public Hearing, there was no public comment. The Planning Commission recommended approval <br />along with the condition of a sidewalk connection. <br />Council Business <br />I.
