Consideration of Purchase Agreement and Maintenance Agreement for Sale of a Portion of <br />1430 Old Highway 8 NW to Ramsey County. ReportNo. 08-180. <br />Assistant Director of Community Development, David Black explained this is the former Ferrellgas <br />property. Ramsey County is interested in this parcel in order to enhance the appearance of the entrance <br />into Long Lake Regional Park, Councilmember Phillips questioned the origin of the water going into <br />the pond and the costs associated with maintenance ofthe pond. Keny Thorne explained it collects <br />water fimm Old Highway 8 NW, maintenance would primarily consist of annual mowing, any <br />additional costs associated with maintenance are not fully known. <br />Councilmember Phillips suggested tabling the item in order to obtain an estimate of maintenance costs <br />for the pond, and to allow more time to make any recommended changes and review the amended <br />contract.
