<br /> llI"""" <br /> " ~ .- f' <br /> ~"'1" . .. ~ It f':::. . ) <br /> Ii) p, ~ <br /> , .\./ <br /> JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, Made this 13th day of November , <br /> - <br /> 1972, by and between the Village of New Brighton, hereinafter <br /> called "Village" and Independent School District No. 621, <br /> hereinafter called "School.lJ <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> WHEREAS, School owns and operates Highview Junior High School <br /> in the Village of New Brighton, which annually during the winter <br /> months has an ice skating rink, and <br /> WHEREAS, It is the desire of the parties to this Agreement <br /> to cooperate for the purpose of extending and expanding the times <br /> during which such ice skating rink is capable of use and enjoyment <br /> by pupils of said school, the citizens of the school district, <br /> including the citizens of New Brighton. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE , it is agreed between the parties as follows: <br /> 1. School will construct as it has in the past an ice <br /> skating rink on the pre~ises of Highview Junior High SChool in <br /> the Village of New Brighton at its own expense. <br /> 2. School shall provide a suitable internal warming facility <br /> for skaters and will. prov~de protective covering for the floor of <br /> such warming area and will. provide shatter-proof glass for the <br /> doors providing access to such warming area. <br /> 3. Village will provide and install adequate outdoor <br /> lighting to illuminate the skating surface for nighttime use, <br /> will supervise the warming facility during non-school hours and <br /> will provide outside rest rooms. <br />
