I <br /> ~ <br /> j RESOLUTION NO 1450 <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY I <br /> , <br /> CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON I <br /> , <br /> ~ <br /> RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT ON APPLICATION FOR SPECIAL <br /> PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT RADIO TRANSMISSION TOWERS, AND DENYING SUCH <br /> APPLICATION <br /> , <br /> WHEREAS Northwestern College, a non-profit organization <br /> doing business as radio station KTIS, did in about August, 1974, <br /> request information regarding a building permit to allow the <br /> construction of radio towers in New Brighton and was informed <br /> pursuant to Section 10-140 (a) of the New Brighton Zoning Code <br /> that the City Building Inspector, with the concurrence of the <br /> City Building and Planning Coordinator,determined such proposed <br /> radio towers might be dangerous and detrimental to surrounding <br /> property and that therefore a special permit would be required , <br /> ~ <br /> from the New Brighton City Council, and , <br /> WHEREAS on October 7, 1974, Northwestern College did file <br /> its application for a special permit to construct such radio <br /> i towers, which application is known as Special Permit SP-57, and <br /> I <br /> WHEREAS such application was processed by the City of New <br /> Brighton and considered by its City Council at a Public Hearing <br /> on November 12, 1974 <br /> I <br /> j, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the New Brighton City <br /> Council that it finds the following to be facts: <br /> , <br /> 1. Procedural History ! <br /> I <br /> a. That pursuant to Section lb-140 (a) of the New <br /> Brighton Zoning Code, the City Building Inspector <br /> determined that a special permit would be required <br /> from the City Council to permit the construction of' <br /> a radio tower in the northwest quadrant of I-35W <br /> and I-694 to a height of 567 feet because the same <br /> might be dangerous and detrimental to surrounding <br /> property. That such determination was communicated <br /> to Northwestern College, doing business as radio <br /> station KTIS <br /> b. That on October 7, 1974, Northwestern College filed: <br /> I its application for a special permit to construct <br /> radio transmitting towers and a radio transmit- <br /> ting equipment building in an area located in the <br /> northwest quadrant of the intersection of freeways <br /> I-35W and I-694. That such application, known as <br /> SP-57, was in proper form and was accompanied by <br /> the proper fees and certificate of surrounding <br /> owners. <br /> I \ <br />
