, IJ~~:- . ) 'A:tt:: f./ ' RESOLUTION NO. 1326 STATE OF MINNESOTA COUNTY OF RAMSEY CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING SPECIAL REGULATIONS FOR S:(GNING OF THE PROPERTY AT 2202-2216 SILVER LAKE ROAD AND AUTHORIZING THE BUILDING INSPECTOR TO ISSUE SIGN PERMITS FOR SIGNS IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH WHEREAS the city council of the City of New Brighton has enacted a moratorium on the issuance of building permits for new 'signs and decreed that building permits for new signs shall not be issued unless a proposed sign is clearly authorized by the ordinance and its authorization does not fall within an area of potential confusion, misinterpretation or conflict of the ordinance as it is now written, and if it is shown to the satisfaction of the council that a hardship would exist if such permit were delayed, and WHEREAS the proposed sign ordinance under consideration by the city council on this date states that shopping centers are areas of special control for which the city council may establish special regulations, and WHEREAS the proposed sign ordinance under consideration by tl~e city council on this date states that buildings of multiple occupancy having both individual entrances and shared entrances shall be considered to be shopping centers, and WHEREAS the property at 2202-2216 Silver Lake Road is a shopping center within the meaning of the term as defined in the proposed sign ordinance NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the City of New Brighton that: 1. The property at 2202-2216 Silver Lake ROpd is an area of special control requiring special regulations for signs: 2. The following are hereby adopted as regulations governin~: signs at 2202-2216 Silver Lake Road: A. Section 14-020 Definitions of the proposed sign ordinance under consideration at this time and a copy of which is attached to this resolution is hereby adopted as part of the sign regulations for 2202-2216 Silver Lake Road: all subsequent referenceB to sections from the proposed ordinance refer to the proposed draft.
