<br /> , , <br /> PETITION <br /> -\, By <br /> CI'I'Y OF NBW BRIGH'1'ON <br /> To <br /> RICE CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT <br /> The City of Hew Brighton, being a statutory city situated within <br /> the limits of the Rice Creek Watershed District, does hereby petition <br /> to construct a drainage system on the route of Ramsey County Ditch <br /> Humber 2, Pike Lake, Long Lake, Jones Lake and associated surface water <br /> drainage and ponding syste$s, all of which is hereinafter more particularly <br /> described. <br /> This petition is made pursuant to Chapter 112 of Minnesota <br /> Statutes and specifically pursuant to Section 112.48, Minnesota <br /> Statutes. <br /> The matters hereby petitioned for are as followsr <br /> 1. JONES LAKE. Improve water storage capabilities of this lake and <br /> improve the aesthetic appearance Of the lake by raising the <br /> normal elevation of the lake with an outlet weir structure or <br /> by dredging the lake or a combination of the above, and make <br /> necessary improvements to Branch #1 to County Ditch Number 2. <br /> 2. '1'0 3RD STREET. correct <br /> erosion and improve with gravel backfill behind the wooden <br /> retaining wall and line the bottom of channel with cobbles above <br /> the bot tom. of the side boards to prevent further erosion. <br /> 3. RAMSBY COO~ DITCH NOMaD 2. BAN.SEN PARK ABOVE UPPER POND. <br /> Correct erosion and construct an energy absorber within the <br /> existing channel with rock to prevent further erosion, regrad, <br /> the banks of the channel, dispose of excess soils within the <br /> in a manner to be agreed upon between the City of New Brigb <br /> and the Watershed District. <br />
