RESOLUTION NO. 1767 STATE OF MINNESOTA COUNTY OF RAMSEY CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON RESOLUTION APPROVING ACQUISITION BY THE NEW BRIGHTON HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON (Generally located South of Fifth Street Northwest and East of Fifth Avenue Northwest) WHEREAS Messrs. Ronald L. Antoine, Harry J. Sadler, and James F. Wirth have offered the following described parcels as a gift to the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of New Brighton, Minnesota (HRA) on the condition that HRA shall pay the balance of real estate taxes due and payable in 1976 and any and all unpaid special assessments that may be levied against the property or may be pending: l. Lots 12, 13, 14, and 15, Block 12, First Addition to New Brighton, together with the easterly half of the vacated alley to said lots and all of the vacated Fourth Avenue Northwest lying adjacent to said lots: 2. The Westerly 300 feet of that part of the Northeast 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 29, Township 30 North, Range 23 West lying Easterly of the First Addition to New Brighton and Southerly of the prolongation Easterly of the Southerly lot line of Lots 8 and 23, Block 12, First Addition to New Brighton: 3. Tract A. Lots l, except the North 1/2 thereof, 2, 3, 4, 5, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30, Block 9, First Addition to New Brighton, together with vacated alley adjoining said lots and all of vacated Fourth Avenue Northwest adjoining said lots: 4. Tract B. The Westerly 300 feet of that part of the North- east 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 29, Township 30 North, Range 23 West, lying Easterly of the First Addition to New Brighton and Northerly of the prolongation Easterly of the Southerly lot line of Lots 5 and 26, Block 9, First Addition to New Brighton, together with vacated Fourth Avenue Northwest and Fourth Street Northwest lying within and adjacent thereto, ahd WHEREAS, the HRA at its September 7, 1976, meeting approved acquisition of these four parcels and requested approval of such acquisition by the Council of the City of New Brighten, and WHEREAS, the HRA has been developing a redevelopment plan for an area in the City of New Brighton including the four parcels 'proposed for acquisition but has not yet completed and adopted said redevelopment plan, and WHEREAS, M.B.A. 462.521 (Subd. 3) requires approval of any HRA acquisition of land by the City Council when such acquisition occu~s prior to ~doptionpf~a redev~lopm~nt p~~n which includes tqe land J}:rop~s~ed for ~cquisitJon.
